Bucket list: you can dive in an underwater forest

Kazakhstan may not be the first destination that comes to mind, but if you're looking for something different, I would book a ticket. In Kazakhstan, you will find Lake Kaindy, a lake at 2000 meters altitude where serious spruces grow. The lake was formed by an earthquake in 1911, which created a dam in a gorge. You can probably guess: that gorge was filled with spruces that decided to keep growing underwater. It seems to be something unique for divers as well, because when was the last time you took a dive in an underwater forest? Exactly. It's also surreal to witness from the shore. Kazakhstan it is, safe travels.
