Chaos, crisis in the room: the Holleeder tapes have leaked

Oh dear boys, and yes indeed: the internet is going WILD. A few hours earlier than planned, the well-known ‘Holleeder tapes’ have leaked. If you’re thinking: huh, who, what where: May gives you a comprehensive Holleeder for Dummies update today, but in short, it comes down to the fact that Peter R. de Vries and Holleeder had a very incriminating conversation a few years ago that was recorded and that Peter R. could only publish after Holleeder's death. Long story short? Holleeder claims he was threatened by lawyer Ficq and that he never extorted Willem Endstra. He is terrified that he will suddenly die an ‘unnatural death’ (ugh, just the word) and wants Peter to tell the world the truth before he dies.

Well, it’s a hefty book, so I would say: if you want to read it all back, take a look at The Telegraph where the entire conversation has leaked.

Oh and, the strangest thing for me is still the end:

WILLEM. “And now don’t hope that I will die an unnatural death.”

PETER “If a cake is delivered to me next week, I wouldn’t eat it, Willem. Hahaha.’
