Do you want to eat: Mexican cheese fondue with tequila

Actually, I only miss one thing when the temperature gets a bit warmer: cheese fondue. I also believe that if there were no cheese, especially melted cheese, I would have a chance to lose some kilos. Cheese is life. But now our neighbors from FavorFlav have dug up a variant that can simply be enjoyed in the summer, the Mexican version, and if I have to choose, I choose cheese and tequila. You get that.
Nachos, bread, vegetables: you can dip anything in it. Queso fundido literally means: melted cheese. Traditionally, soft Mexican cheeses like Asadero, Chihuahua, or Manchego are used, but in principle, you can use any melting cheese that creates those good strings.
Tequila and spicy peppers
In a cast-iron pan or heat-resistant dish, the dish is built up in layers. The cheese is complemented with spicy chorizo, onion, bell pepper, and jalapeños for the necessary kick. The whole thing is topped with some lime and tomato salsa. Want to make it yourself? This version of queso fundido contains all that deliciousness.
If you thought that was all, you are mistaken. Because the original Mexican version is flambéed or flavored with tequila. It gives the cheese a shiny layer and just a slightly different texture. Try it out yourself!
