Dry eyes? Eat sushi!

The air conditioners turn on simultaneously again and before you know it, your lenses are popping out of your eyes from the dryness (if you have them, otherwise it becomes a strange story). Don't worry, there is a solution for that, and a very tasty one, if we FavorFlavs Steffi are to be believed.
Well, not really sushi, that's what we make of it. According to researchers from Hokkaido University in Japan, eating fatty fish like tuna, salmon, sardines, and mackerel helps. In other words: the main ingredients of sushi. Or sashimi, of course.
Omega-3
According to the researchers, dry eye syndrome, a condition that affects the production of tear fluid, is related to a deficiency in Omega-3. And these fish species just happen to be rich in it. Walnuts, flaxseed, soybean oil, and chia seeds too. So for the vegetarians among us, that is likely the solution.
Although the Japanese research mainly focuses on fish, other studies show that kale, corn, pumpkin, zucchini, spinach, and fresh parsley also give your eyes a boost. Feeling fruity? Kiwi and red grapes seem to work great too.
Blinking
The simplest advice? Just blink a little more often and close your eyes for a while so they produce a bit more tear fluid. Or just stare at your screen a little less, of course.
