Finally, Netflix is coming out with a series about cats (lovers)

Yes, crazy cat ladies, our wishes have been heard. When it comes to dog offerings, you were already very luxurious with Netflix, and when it comes to cat offerings... Um, well, not. So Netflix is doing something about that (rightly so) and the result will be visible on December 18. I should tell you right away that the title might be a bit misleading. Because yes, it's about cats, but as a cat lover, this is also your worst nightmare.

Because here's the thing. It's not a romcom, not a feel-good movie, not a comedy, not even an action movie. No, it's a true crime docu.

Yes, really. It's called Don’t F*ck With Cats and then comes Hunting An Internet Killer. You can already see the storm brewing, right? Canadian Luka Magnotta, a psychopath (yes, I can say that in this case), filmed himself torturing animals – in this case kittens – and posted these videos online. This happened in 2010 and fortunately, there were also good people in the world, in this case, people on the internet.

Because the series could also have been called Don’t F*ck With Cat Lovers. The internet community went completely wild and started a witch hunt for this Magnotta. And rightly so that the internet community rises up in full revolt when such videos are posted online. So it's a true crime docu (one of my favorite genres) but I actually hope they don't show the videos in question. Because I'm really bad at that. Really bad, I can watch the news with various types of disasters with dry eyes, but give me one video where an animal suffers and I go through a box of tissues.

The docu is from the same maker as that of The Imposter (also a bizarre case, and a recommendation if you haven't seen it yet). By the way, this Magnotta didn't stop at torturing animals. No no, his last step was to murder a Chinese exchange student and – psychopath is almost a kind way to put it for this man – chopped this man into pieces and then sent his limbs to various schools in the United States. It does have a sort of happy ending: Magnotta is fortunately behind bars. Maybe it's an idea to include a larger cat in the form of a group of lions or tigers? Seems like sweet revenge to me, as a cat lover.
