White pesto, excuse me? I blinked hard when I read the message from our neighbors at FavorFlav it. That can't possibly be as delicious as the green one, right? Well, think again. White pesto makes your pasta even creamier and the creamy variant is super fast to prepare. Guess what we're having for dinner tonight.

The key to success

It's no punishment, I can tell you that. Thanks to the ricotta base, it's super creamy, the parmesan gives it that nice umami kick, the raw garlic adds some heat, the walnuts provide the necessary nuttiness AND – the key to success – the lemon zest for the perfect freshness and twist. Are there really no herbs in it? Yes, just a little oregano. It's actually a kind of reverse ‘old style pesto‘: a lot of cheese and nuts, a little bit of herbs.

Super fast

Aside from the taste, there's another big advantage: it's super quick to make. Just chop and grate a bit, toss everything in a bowl, wait for your pasta to be ready, then throw it in, stir well and you're done. No fuss with mortars or food processors. What more could one want?
