Why we love men who cry

The times you've seen your father cry, you can probably count on one hand. You probably still remember when and why. Silly but true, it makes a bit more impact when a man starts to sob. Although there still lingers a bit of a medieval taboo on men's tears, we love them.
Because they have feelings
On your birthday, at a Christmas dinner, while waiting in the fitting room of the Bijenkorf, or on Valentine's Day; men can look quite stoic at these moments, right? You can see them thinking about a game console and a kebab dish. All the more beautiful when they do express their feelings because they are overwhelmed by love, sadness, or (does it matter to us) a won football match.
Out of trust
It's a sign of trust that he lets his tears flow freely with you. And that applies not only to emotional boyfriends but also to fathers, brothers, nephews, uncles, grandfathers, and friends. Quite a compliment, when they come out of their emo-shell with you.
Because they are sweet
Men at their most vulnerable are so intensely sweet. And so not just those with moist eyes at a funeral, but also when they feel hashtag blessed with a friend, cry for their loved one, a beautiful concert, or a movie, and yes, they are even truly sweet when they cry over that won football match.
Cry away, men.
