this is the new program we need to talk about now
Monday, May 27. Say, I don't know if you have anything planned yet, but just cancel it. Park your cadets well in front, because your inner disaster tourist is going to twerk here. On the menu? All love, mess, drama, and awkwardness. The perfect ingredients for a new ratings hit. I'm of course talking about Love Island. RTL has a new dating show and if we are to believe the teaser, it's going to be intense.
The concept of Love Island has been known in England for years and is quite simple: in the show, a group of singles is placed in one villa in a sunny country. The contestants must ensure weekly that they ‘have’ a partner (my god) and entertain the viewers. People at home can vote via an app to determine who gets to stay and who has to go home. A kind of Big Brother is watching you meets Golden Cage meets Temptation Island.
The presentation is in the hands of Holly Mae Brood and Viktor Verhulst. They step aboard Love Island Airways in the teaser, the destination is true love and according to Holly, ‘quite a bit’ of turbulence is expected. Who all participates and where the journey goes is still a mystery, but something in me says this is going to be the redemption for the tame season of Temptation this year.
