Oh yes: Bird Box gets a sequel

Of course we could wait for that. As if Fifty Shades would stop after one movie. No way, if something becomes a massive hit, you just keep going with it. And that's why there will be a Bird Box 2.0.

Author Josh Malerman reveals in an interview with Are you staring at men with sculpted bodies in the gym? Stop it, because these kinds of creatures lead to a worse... that the sequel to Bird Box will be released on October 1st. But under a different name: Malorie (yes, the name of the main character played by Sandra Bullock).

“I wanted to get to know Malorie even better,” he says. The focus of the new story will be on her. “People want to know what happens to Boy and Girl. But no matter how much I care about them, it’s not their story. The Bird Box world is Malorie's story and I want to tell more about her.” Ooh, this is going to be interesting. Just a matter of waiting another six months….
