People who enjoy drinking red wine are healthier

You don't need to come to me with complicated stories about sulfites and toxins in wine and whether it's good for you or not.
If I feel like having a glass, well, I'll just pour myself one, right? As long as you just keep it normal and don't act like it's Saturday night on a Tuesday afternoon. Now, it happens that I get thirsty at least once every weekend, and now that it's freezing cold outside, a glass of red is quite appropriate. Not a bad idea, according to experts. Because even the BBC has written about it, and then it has really been researched and is true. Red wine drinkers are often slimmer and healthier.
Research shows that people who enjoy drinking red wine have a lower BMI than those who are not fond of red. But, mind you, it's not that if you start drinking red wine now, you'll become slimmer, healthier, and fitter. It's actually the other way around: healthy and fit people like to pour themselves that glass of red. They leave beer and white wine aside. People who occasionally enjoy a glass of red wine also tend to exercise more, it turns out. You don't start exercising because of red wine; you're just a somewhat healthier person, and that lifestyle fits a glass of red.
Now, all those science geeks say: if you like to take care of your body, then you should actually just drink nothing but water and tea. And it's always healthier to eat fruits and vegetables instead of slurping down wine. But if you do drink, then a small glass of red is the best choice you can make for your body. That's why their golden tip is: drink a vin rouge from a champagne glass. This way, you automatically drink a little less than when you grab a huge giant glass. And that's better for the liver.
Ah, such a champagne flute looks nice too, and it fits well with these last weeks of the year. Start the new year slim, that's already one good resolution less.
