the bluest water in the world

In the category of ‘this is something you must see once in your life, bucket list material and books included’: here you will find the bluest water in the world. You don't even have to go to the Maldives for that, by the way. I was there twelve years ago and walked around non-stop holding my breath. Plitvice in Croatia is where you need to be. The national park consists of 90 (!) waterfalls and 16 lakes. The highest waterfall is about 78 meters and the park covers almost 300 square kilometers. It's no wonder that the park is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, just take a look for yourself.
