The 7 hotels where you want to sleep at Christmas

Christmas is of course fun to celebrate with as many friends and family as possible, but I also don't mind getting away for Christmas. As long as it's in a festive atmosphere, of course. For example, I once celebrated Christmas with a girlfriend in Rome and that was really more than fine to do, yet I would approach it a bit differently now when I pack my bags to head off for Christmas. Because in Rome, I had booked a ‘regular’ hotel. Nothing wrong with that, slept well, nice neighborhood, but not top-notch Christmas. The offerings from Airbnb can do that much better. Hotels, cottages, rooms, or cabins fully themed. A Christmas theme in this case, where you can shamelessly listen to Sky Radio for days on end (because that still is the Christmas station of the Netherlands) and let your inner Christmas freak out. Check out the coolest hotels and Airbnbs to celebrate your Christmas.
In the village of Romansville, which you probably don't know, you will find this super cute Airbnb. Just 30 kilometers from Strasbourg, where you will find a very nice Christmas market. Win-win, then. In itself, you already have a decent Christmas market in this Airbnb itself, because you won't find a more Christmassy place than this quickly. Christmas trees, sleds, even Christmas curtains and Santa Clauses plastered everywhere: yes, the Christmas atmosphere is definitely present here. Oh, good to know: this little place is on a very nice wine route. So there's no shortage of that either.
A very special experience to sleep here. Everything in this igloo is made of ice and snow, so you have to be able to handle a bit of cold — but you do get the thickest sleeping bags on your ice bed. Outside your igloo, you have the chance to spot the Northern Lights and can explore Finnish Lapland in the area. A bucket list item, for sure.

A bit of an animal lover wants to go here. These cottages are called the Reindeer Lodge, so the name says it all a bit, but you really are among the reindeer here. So cool. As an excursion, you can of course go out with reindeer and a sled, but the Northern Lights are also among the options.

The name of this Airbnb accommodation is Christmas Cottage, so you already know enough. During the holidays, this little house is completely decorated with Christmas decorations, reindeer, Santa Clauses, and more. Their extravagant decorations are well-known, and even a number of Hollywood stars have stayed here.
When you want to combine Christmas, a beautiful city, winter, and luxury, then you are completely in the right place here. The Sacher Hotel is a luxurious hotel in the middle of the city, where the Christmas atmosphere is well present every winter. This city is particularly beautiful in winter, but the hotel also has a nice spa and a good restaurant.

In the Club Wyndham Midtown 45, one of their suites is transformed into one big Christmas party. To be a bit more specific: the suite is inspired by the movie Elf, with Will Ferrell. If you don't know it: no worries (although it's a fun movie), it basically comes down to the theme being Christmas. And Christmas in The Big Apple, who wouldn't want that? Just be prepared to dig deep into your pockets.

Right in front of The Connaught Hotel, the first thing you see is the gigantic colorful Christmas tree. You can't miss that, and inside it's also a jolly Christmas at this hotel in London. A letter from Santa in your room, singing songs in the hallway before bed, going through London with a horse and carriage, and as the cherry on top, a Christmas tree in your room. And stockings above the fireplace. Funfunfun.
