The 7 movies your friend won't run away from

man and woman on the couch with popcorn

A bottle of white from the fridge, popcorn popping in the pan, candles lit and binge away, if you move from the terrace (because hello, almost fifteen degrees) to the couch for a movie today. But it’s so much cozier if he also finds your taste in movies somewhat agreeable. That’s why we have some viewing suggestions for you.

1. Bohemian Rhapsody

This was THE movie I wanted to send everyone to the cinema for. What a film, what acting. Enough tears for the woman, enough twists for the man, and it’s now available on Pathé Thuis and iTunes. Watch them.

2. King Arthur

A little for yourself (Charlie Hunnam) and a little for him (made by Guy Ritchie). You can just take those knights and maidens for granted.

3. The classics for your list: Forrest Gump/The Green Mile/A Beautiful Mind

These are the movies you want to see once in your life, because you shouldn’t have to do anything. But I do want to kindly yet firmly recommend it to you. It’s actually part of your upbringing.

4. Grab a thriller: Gone Girl/A Girl On The Train

According to our thriller expert Annick, these are the movies that are thrilling without being gruesome. You also have an excuse to snuggle up close together.

5. The Intern

A comedy that you both find funny, if The Hangover isn’t quite your cup of tea. Light-hearted, not too much thinking; it also works well if you have a hangover.

6. Marvel

You have to love this, but we already count three women in the editorial team who appreciate the Marvels. Think: Wonder Woman, all parts of The Avengers, Iron Man, and Thor.

7. Ticking off all parts: Harry and Frodo and Corleone

You need to take some time for this. I prefer to grab these kinds of collections around Christmas, but hey, maybe you have some time to spare. After one Potter, the other parts are deliciously devoured. In the category: you’ll never get off the couch. Binge them.

P.S.: If you’re in for the genre Basic Instinct; these are the 7 hottest movies to watch with your loved one.
