This alcoholic drink works better than a painkiller

Yes, you read that right: there is an alcoholic drink that works better than an aspirin from time to time. Maybe you shouldn't think about it after yesterday's hangover, but I suggest putting on a pair of sunglasses on your nose today with a pounding head (which, by the way, doesn't have to cost more than €30,- to be and ordering a beer on the terrace.

Researchers from the University of British Greenwich made this discovery after comparing eighteen studies on pain. How does that work exactly? A few beers (about 0.8 promille in the blood) would cause the pain in question to decrease. Although I guess this could also have something to do with the well-known drunky buzz after a bit too much alcohol. But hey, pain and beer, it's worth a try, right?
