This is Meghan's favorite hotel

Every breath of Meghan Markle is front-page news and we are no better at that. Because when you stay in a suite that costs $65,000 a night, you are just begging for a bit of publicity. And the necessary research showed that Meghan slept in the hotel that has been on my favorites list for years. The Mark is where you must, want, and will be. At least if you have a credit card in a dark gray shade and a bank account with a zero or five. Because a basic room starts at $800 a night and ends, well, with Meghan.

The largest suite in America

The Mark has it and indeed: that’s where Meghan resided. The suite is about 3,300 square feet (you read that right), has five bedrooms, six bathrooms (I didn’t quite understand this distribution either, but I forgive them), four fireplaces, a library, a dining room, and another rooftop terrace of a tidy 500 square feet. It is the largest suite in the United States. And also one of the most expensive, it seems to me. Although the story goes that Serena Williams paid for the room. Give me a friend like that. By the way, I have something nice. Click here and you’ll see a video of this bizarre suite. And sorry if I’ve ruined this for you forever. A consolation: we’re in this together.

A personal Frederic Malle perfume

A decent hotel deserves a house scent. And you don’t let just anyone develop that, of course. You do this through Frederic Malle, who created the scent Jurassic Flower especially for The Mark. Are you held back by trivial matters like time and money from going to The Mark? No problem. Then you just order the scented candle online.

While you’re at it

Then everything in their digital boutique suddenly becomes a very good idea. The house slippers, the yoga mat, the coloring book with pencils (what can happen for $95?), the dog bowl, the plates, the card game… You’re set for the next sixteen birthdays.

About the dogs

They are welcome. Just like in The Bowery Hotel by the way, another cozy place.

Your housemates

Reside in The Mark, then you can safely assume you’ll encounter some nice company around you. The Beckhams, Anna Wintour, the British royal family, Marc Jacobs, Katie Holmes. If you’re looking for them, you’ll find them here.

The house architect of Caroline of Monaco

And from Valentino to everyone with too much money and too little time; Jacques Grange has completely styled the hotel and I tell you: it’s a living Pinterest board.

And then this

The restaurant run by Jean-Georges Vongerichten is said to be a gem, but it’s located at the back of the hotel, so you really have to know where to go and there are no curious onlookers pressed against the glass. Look, such a dinner should still be a feasible option. When are we going?
