This summer you drink this rosé

It is summer, the sun is shining, the evenings are long and they start as early as four o'clock in the afternoon. It screams, begs, and pleads for a glass of rosé. And there is one (or two, or three) from AIX this year and here's why.

1. It is a delicious rosé

2. You won't get a hangover from it

I really tried my best, but it didn't work out. The secret seems to lie in a low dosage of sulfites. This is used to keep wine good for a long time, but rosé, that should be drunk. And quickly a bit.

3. It is the prettiest bottle

Boat, basket, glass asking for an Insta snapshot. And then you want a bit of a pretty bottle.

4. National pride

AIX tells the story of Eric Kurver who sold his company and actually didn't know what he was going to do next. “Why don't you turn your hobby into your profession?” suggested his wife Adriënne. Wine, in short. So that's how it happened that a Dutch hobbyist suddenly landed in Provence and just started making a great wine.

5. Because you can tell this story

Eric, the founder of AIX, has been bitten by the same dog as Brad Pitt. He visited Chateau Miraval (the winery that Brad Pitt bought years later) and got a nip from the dog. Later he heard that the same dog had bitten Brad Pitt in the calf.

6. Because with AIX you are connected to the sweetest dog in southern France

That is Kenzo, whom Eric got at the estate. Since then, Kenzo walks with Eric through the vineyards. And how sweet he is.

7. Because it is a light rosé that fits every moment of the day. Yes, even just before lunch starts. And you didn't get a hangover from it, remember?

8. Because when you have AIX (pronounced ‘eks’ and not ‘aiks’) you are immediately in Aix-en-Provence, one of the prettiest little towns in southern France.

9. Because I find it very reasonably priced, for such a pretty, tasty, and fresh Provence rosé.
