Watch out with Otis

Carolien spoor with otis, fast lane life

Every entrepreneur will agree that launching something new is quite stressful: will it be well received, are the items on time, and does it look like you sketched it on paper? Last weekend, we launched 2 limited summer edition shawls with Lemej, and it remained exciting until the last moment whether there would even be an event. The production was delayed (what's new), and thanks to a few indefinable holidays in India, everything was sent out much too late. But after a few nail-biting days, everything arrived just in time, and we could transform the Bugaboo Store on the Keizersgracht into a Lemej paradise. I am so proud of our new designs, and the reactions were all positive. This week you can still see, feel, and buy the entire Lemej collection in the Bugaboo Store. And as a little extra, there is a nice goodie bag ready for every customer.

With those half cloudy, half sunny days, I always forget to apply sunscreen. ‘Oh, it's not really necessary today...’ Very bad of course, because that little sun shines quite brightly and is still harmful if you don't apply it properly. But since I have this nice Anthélios pocket spray from La Roche-Posay in my bag, it costs me zero effort: you easily spray it over your makeup, protects with factor 50, and leaves zero stains (read: no rubbing in). Even if it's a bit cloudy, I now spray it on liberally.

Otis is in such a nice phase where everything is being imitated and repeated. Since I can swear like a sailor, I really have to be careful now. I was recently called out on it, but luckily his translation sounded like ‘lou’ (guess what I said). And when we were in the bath this morning and mom thought she could enjoy a nice beauty ritual undisturbed, he had to copy it. Two pieces of tissue, some Bio-Oil to stick it on, and voilà: this cute scene he can imitate as often as possible.

It sounds just as easy nowadays as picking up a sliced white loaf: just get a little injection in that frown, upper lip, or forehead. Now I must say that it looks prettier and less noticeable on some than on others, but still, I wouldn't reach for it so quickly. I prefer to look for treatments without injections, and now I've found one at Mo Esthetics that feels quite effective after just a few treatments. The LPG facial device works almost like a connective tissue massage, but then painless and more effective. I promise to share a before-and-after photo of the result.
