Where our children will later LAUGH AT us HARD

I still like to tease my mother about their habits from the past. The cigarettes that were on the table (remember, John Player Special in those nice black jars), smoking in cars with closed windows, the stuffed eggs, the salami sausages with a pickle inside, the bright green walls (we didn't have those, but we did have brown/red curtains), although I can still find my mother bizarrely beautiful when I see photos from the seventies with her high boots, short dresses, and wide belts. That got me thinking about what we will be laughed at hard for later. I'm already giving a hint.
1. The Balenciaga sneakers
They will be rolling on the floor laughing. Completely bent over.
2. The concrete floor
And then immediately the brick interior wall, the wooden subfloor that gets a lick of paint, the steel window and door frames. And that we just raised our mortgage to sit in that cold, bare mess.
3. Cooking on gas
That we did that. Until earthquakes were needed to bring us to our senses. I'm not laughing about this, I'm ashamed of it. Already.
4. Fireplace
Yes, so nice and so cozy. But how bad for the environment. The fact that we do it is actually something to be ashamed of.
5. That we had to charge our phone
In twenty years, it will of course charge itself automatically from your body energy.
They will also find it hilarious that your screen could break if you dropped it, because we will of course just have a virtual screen where the information is projected.
6. That it took you 12 hours to get to Thailand
Because that will of course be in a Thalys pace.
7. That we calmly stood in traffic for an hour and a half every day
8. That we had money. Coins and bills.
9. That there were men (and women) who delivered the newspaper every day. With yesterday's news, of course.
10. That those men and women rang the bell on New Year's Eve and that you then gave them a coin as thanks for their loyal service.
11. That there was linear television and that millions of people were ready every day for the eight o'clock news.
12. That you were very happy if you ordered something online today and it was there the next day.
13. That we wore glasses.
14. That we wore jeans with big holes.
15. That you had to wait in line for customs.
16. That you got a stamp in your passport.
17. That you had a wallet. You pay with your phone or by smiling at the mirror.
Do you have any additions? I would love to hear them.
