Why you start 2019 with a vision board

You can wait for a shooting star, but taking matters into your own hands yields faster results. Create a vision board and your dreams will come true. Ever heard of ‘the law of attraction’? If you focus on achieving a higher education diploma, dream job, room in Amsterdam, Renault Twingo, or Gucci belt, the universe will ensure it comes your way. In three steps, mind you.
Step 1. Be specific
Choose five concrete, realistic goals. So don’t write down ‘becoming very rich’. No, narrow those dreams and goals down a bit. ‘Rich’ is interpreted differently by every wallet. An example for your vision board could be: €500 a month safely parked in your savings account.
Step 2. Be creative
Visualize your goals. Cut out from a Vogue, ELLE, LINDA, or the Amayzine magazine. Pinterest prints or photos are also allowed. Anything goes. Or create online mood boards of your dreams and print them out. Let your inner-Lilian Brijl run wild. The idea is that your creation ends up in a visible place in your home.
Step 3. Out in the open
You really don’t have to show your vision board to every collector at your door. It’s completely understandable that you prefer to keep certain goals to yourself. Still, part of that ‘law of attraction’ is that the vision board should be in sight. Place it somewhere you walk past every day. Maybe on the door of your wardrobe, in the upstairs toilet, or next to your mirror.
May all your wishes come true…
