At least, if you want to be successful, peaceful, and healthy. The 5:00 AM club consists of all the people around the world who wake up at five in the morning. The idea was conceived by Robin Sharma, a Canadian author and motivational speaker. He sought a way for successful people to optimize their productivity and give their health the best foundation. The answer was very simple: wake up an hour and a half earlier. His slogan is: own your morning, elevate your life.

When you join the club (joining is very simple: just set your alarm and step out of bed immediately), you are in good company. From Anna Wintour, Steve Jobs, Michelle Obama, and Oprah Winfrey, to name just a very few. I’m going to tell you now why waking up early will bring you so much.

  1. You start the day calmly and not in a rush.
  2. You are always two hours ahead of the rest of the country.
  3. ’In the evening you watch Netflix or read a book, in the morning you exercise, walk the dog, or work.
  4. You have the quietest hours of the day to yourself. You are not disturbed by anything or anyone.
  5. Waking up early will bring about a different attitude towards life. You will probably go to bed a bit earlier and skip that second glass of wine. Overall, you will embrace a healthier lifestyle rhythm.
  6. You will start your day less stressed.
  7. It is difficult to add extra hours to your day. In the evening, nothing more can be added, but at the beginning, you can easily stick on another hour and a half.
  8. In this way, you simply add 240 hours to your year. That’s six work weeks of forty hours. Just by getting out of bed a little earlier.
