10 positive things to think about now so you love yourself more

Yeah, here comes Kiek the floating chick again. But really, I've been trying this for a while now, and it helps. At the end of the day, think about what went well. What you're happy about. Just purely focused on positivity. And not in the Instagram case of ‘oh my gaaaaawd I’m so #blessed’ but rather: hey, I don't have to be so hard on myself. I learn every day. This went well today. I'm on the right track.

I was scrolling on positiviteit.nl (really a very chill website where I can be found more and more often, actually since corona, says something) and found there 10 positive thoughts to end your day chill. And somewhere they work clarifying well for me, perhaps for you too.

1. Yeah man: I'm grateful
For many little things. The clean clothes I can wear every day. The shower I can take whenever I feel like it. That morning walk. My bed. My family who is always there for me.

2. I'm doing my best
And just for that alone, I'm proud of myself – and of all my efforts.

3. Ooh, important this one: it doesn't all have to be perfect
I'm satisfied with what is already there. I enjoy my journey. And I focus my attention on everything that already exists.

4. I live and I learn
If something hasn't worked out for me yet, I can learn it. Sometimes I fall and then I get back up. I make mistakes. I'm human. I grow.

5. I have confidence in myself
If I stay close to myself and engage in the things I'm good at, I can achieve and mean a lot. I trust in my strength. I am strong.

6. I'm looking forward to tomorrow
Today a meh-day? Tomorrow is another chance. I will get up fresh again and make choices that are good for me and give me energy. I will give my best regardless.

I think of a person I love immensely. Someone I have warm feelings for. I think about how I feel with this person.

I live in a country where freedom is a great good. I can make my own choices and shape my life.

I pay attention to the people around me. I am meaningful to them. And I do this with all my love.

10. I love myself
Yes. I take good care of myself. For my body and for my positive thoughts. I love myself (sounds very weird to say this to yourself, but just do it!).
