3 hard truths about life

As the Tax Authorities would say: we can't make it more fun, but we can make it easier. The day I learned these life lessons literally changed everything.
Hard lesson 1: take responsibility yourself, no one else is going to solve your shit
As uncomfortable as this truth is, it is that important. Taking responsibility is the first (and most important) step towards achieving your personal goals. If you don't do that, you will always remain ‘the victim’ of what others do. And no, you can't blame others for that, the solution to this puzzle lies with yourself. As much as you might want to: you can't change another person. You can change yourself. How you react to someone. Where your boundaries lie. The only way to grow is by taking responsibility yourself.
If you don't take responsibility for what you want to achieve, you are ultimately responsible for not achieving it. BAM.
Hard lesson 2: patience is a virtue
I remember it like it was yesterday. Suddenly, I couldn't sleep anymore. Everything was tense. I could only cry, sometimes not even knowing why. The fuse had blown. Desperately, I called my mother. I had no time for this at all, I still had to do this-and-that-and-that. The lesson was hard but useful: ‘quick fixes’ for problems don't work. There is no magic pill for it. A seed doesn't just become a tree, especially not in one day. The process of the valley you have to overcome, that is life, that is where your growth lies.
Everything that is worth it takes time. Only if we are willing to pay that price do we create something of immeasurable value. BAM.
Hard lesson 3: if you do a lot, you will fall down more often. And the more you fall down, the more you will understand life
Only with action will you change things in your life. Hoping for a six-pack doesn't work either. Often we think and want a lot, but we don't do it. For years, I've been thinking that I want to write a book someday. Thinking, thinking, thinking and doing nothing, that doesn't get you anywhere. If you think too much, you will always find a reason to doubt. To then not do it or postpone it. The magic word is action. With action, you will make mistakes. You learn from your mistakes. And then you grow.
Think less. Do more. Only action makes the difference between dream and reality. BAM.
