5 derailed celebrity kids

Cameron Douglas and Michael Douglas

We have all been young, wild, and naughty. Kissing a few boys at once, secretly using your father's car, stealing whiskey from your parents' liquor cabinet and later secretly diluting it with weak tea, that sort of thing. But you are an angel with a halo and golden wings compared to these celebrity kids. Read and shudder.

 Chet Hanks

1. Chet Hanks
The son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson leads a turbulent life of drugs. In 2015, he tried to quit, but when he crashed into another car in 2016 while under the influence, it became clear that he had not succeeded. Chet was sued, and the man claimed to have suffered serious physical and emotional damage (America, right) due to his fault.

By the way, Rita and Tom are one of the rare Hollywood couples that are still together, so the struggles with Chet have, fortunately, not driven them apart.

2. Cameron Douglas
The son of Michael Douglas and his previous wife Diandra has been arrested at least three times for drug abuse. He even received a five-year prison sentence for using a fancy hotel in New York as a shop to sell drugs. He was released in 2018 and hopefully has turned his life around.

3. Christian Brando
The son of Marlon Brando once shot his half-sister's boyfriend in the head after she told him that he had been violent towards her. Christian served six years in prison for that. Apparently, he couldn't shake off his violent side, as in 2005 his ex-wife also sued him for domestic violence. Christian passed away in 2008 from pneumonia.

4. Weston Cage
Weston, the son of Nicolas Cage, was arrested in 2011 for domestic violence and went to a rehab clinic to quit his drug use.

5. Guillaume Depardieu
Then there is the sad story of Guillaume Depardieu, the very talented son of Gérard Depardieu. A life full of alcohol, drugs, violence, but also many films including a few with his father with whom he had a troubled relationship. He was involved in a motorcycle accident that required him to undergo surgery seventeen times. Guillaume lived to be 37 years old.

And oh, then there are the petty offenses like the daughters of George Bush who, for heaven's sake, were drinking alcohol at 20 while it's only allowed in their state when you're 21. Or the daughters of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore who were caught trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID.

They are just like real people, those celebrities.
