5 things that make you hot in the bedroom as a single

Yes ladies and gentlemen, happy Singles Day! Yes really, we singles have our ‘own’ day and that day is today. I secretly find it hilarious that we have to experience this day lonelier than ever, but maybe that's for the best: just see the humor in it. Because we can't really go anywhere. Grab a movie with your fellow singles? No can do. Then do a sports class to stay a bit fit? Nooooope. A glass of wine on the terrace? That would also be a NO.
But can we do absolutely nothing to celebrate our singleness today? Of course we can. Just enjoy your bed. Or not get out of it at all, after all, it's your day, your party, and your choice. And it's not like anyone is waiting for you. Sounds painful, but it can actually be ideal.
Because a day of namastay-in-bed can actually be quite nice. Unapologetically doing as little as possible in a day. I really do that almost never, but today I find it an extremely suitable day for it. And I have the best tips so that you never want to get out of bed.
1. Make sure you have a good duvet
As a chronic bad sleeper, this is definitely the very first tip I always give to everyone: Make. Sure. You. Have. A. Good. Duvet.. In the past, as a student, I preferred to spend my student finance in the pub rather than on a duvet, but I would now like to warn my former self about that. Really, worlds of difference. Especially now that it's cold; I don't turn on the heating, but grab my electric blanket instead. It really makes getting out of bed a lot harder, because it feels so nice. But well, we don't have to get out of bed today. If electric blankets aren't your thing, then one that is heavenly for you is also perfectly fine.
2. Take care of your own entertainment
Of course, it can be with Netflix, in bed or on your TV, but it can also be in many other ways. After all, it's Singles Day. So maybe you already have one, but if not: this is the ideal day to get one. Yes, I'm of course talking about vibrators.. By the way, it's also really good for your health and mental state. Win-win.
3. Dress to impress
Whether it's a sexy silk or lace set or the most comfy onesie: wear something nice. I always find it pleasant when it feels good (after all, you need to be able to do absolutely nothing in it), I am also that type who wants everything to match. So yes, even those sleep sets in which I only sleep. I feel a lot better in those than in that oldest jogging pants that you should have thrown away a long time ago because it really can't be worn anymore.
4. Make sure you have all the comforts
Make sure you have your own breakfast in bed. Eating in bed dirty? Not if you have such a handy little table that you can put on your bed. It's Sunday, so go all out: croissants, eggs, tea, and coffee. Enjoy aimlessly scrolling on Instagram or reading a book, whatever you feel like. I find those such relaxed mornings: you don't have to be anywhere and can just hang out in bed at your little table.
5. Make your bed inviting
I always make my bed when I get out of it, because I truly believe that you sleep much more peacefully and better in a made bed. It also helps that I don't find it a bothersome chore at all (and it's done so quickly). My bed looks a lot more inviting since I, after making the bed, throw a nice spread over it. And then add some extra pillows on top. Really, you go to bed a lot more comfortably and you also don't want to get out of it anymore. And then in the morning, waking up slowly with that little table on it; don't you really feel like you're in a super deluxe hotel?
