6 ways I saved a shitload of money during this period

Let me start by saying: if anyone had a profit to gain, it was me, so to what extent I can be proud of the above title is also a question. But true: for the first time, I have managed to map out my excessive, totally immature, weird spending pattern a bit more. I am on my money, where is the way? This is how I have ‘unnoticed’ saved during corona times.
Travel expenses
Working from home = no longer spending hundreds of euros a month on working in another city. And even worse in my case: ahem, taxi costs. I spent scandalously much money on those appointment-to-appointment rides. Convenient, yes, but secretly also nice, those few hundred extra euros a month.
Coffee to go
Train travelers will feel this. How often did you quickly grab a coffee at the station in the morning? Or a breakfast at AH To Go? No people, we are COOKING now. Every morning breakfasts from home that have love and effort in them. And it's even cheaper. And that coffee, you just make it at home without it costing €3.50. And then you just have another one afterwards. Naaaaa.
The gym
Well, such an expense that the enthusiasts among us also considered fixed costs. But when the gyms are closed and your OneFit subscription is frozen or your personal trainer can't work, it stops quickly, right? I must say: I can't wait until it's July 1.
OMG: going out to eat
And yes, a thing or two is indeed ordered (it's no longer just #supportyourlocals, especially a very big #supportyourtummy), but that really pales in comparison to the money I spent on going out to eat. Multiple. Times. Per. Week.
Nails and hair
A case of the same story as the gym. If you have no choice, you suddenly save money. Do you know how much it costs to get gel nails done every three weeks? And those highlights at Rob Peetoom? That's what I mean...
Shopping
Lucky for me: I'm not much of an online shopper. A: I'm a control freak who wants to try things on and B: I just have no desire to return things. Result? Barely new clothes bought during corona time. And I must say: with the intense clothing stress, it's not that bad, people. The more you buy, the faster you long for that ‘new’ feeling again, which makes you actually always insatiable. Yes, really.
P.S.: Okay okay, confession: I have spent quite a bit of money on garden stuff. But hey, it has to stay fun. And I have saved more than ever. Forced or not. #bitproud
