Amsterdam gets its own chocolate bar

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the foodies of online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it, and what to cook. This time our chefs serve you: the Tony’s Chocolonely bar in Amsterdam.
Yesss, that's some fun news: Tony’s Chocolonely opens on July 1st Tony’s Chocolonely Chocolate Bar in Amsterdam. And that's a chocolate heaven for every chocolate lover: flowing chocolate taps all day long, s'mores, sweet chocolate burgers, bubble waffles, and cake that you can decorate yourself as if it's your birthday.
A few months ago, we already caught some rumors here and there: there would be a Tony Chocolonely café coming to Amsterdam. How, what, where, when? Due to corona, the opening was delayed, but now it’s finally going to happen soon. On July 1st, Tony’s Chocolonely opens the doors of Tony’s Chocolonely Chocolate Bar in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam – at the place where cocoa was already traded 400 years ago.
Slave-free chocolate is the tastiest chocolate
And if we are to believe the ones in the know, and we do, it’s going to be a seriously crazy chocolate bar where everything revolves around chocolate and where you can learn all about Tony’s mission while enjoying the tastiest chocolate creations: together making 100% slave-free the norm in chocolate. And we greatly applaud this last part. Anyone who has seen what the chocolate chain looks like knows: this is far from okay. Because although chocolate may be the tastiest (and according to many the most exciting) snack in the world, the long journey from bean to bar is one of bitter misery (just watch the episode Bitter Chocolate in the Netflix series Rotten).
More than sweet
Aside from the mountains of chocolate bars, Tonyccino’s, and flowing chocolate fountains – of course, everything is made with Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate from fully traceable cocoa beans from West Africa – there’s also plenty of choice for savory cravings. Fresh tomato soup, a veggie burger, or a wrap, it’s going to be a feast anyway.
