Amsterdam gets its own cheese bar

And then God created cheese and that was the best decision ever. My neighbor Sharon from online food magazine FavorFlav digitally tapped me this weekend about a new cheese bar opening. I passed it on to Kiki and now I'm telling you. Because cheese and a bar, which together form a cheese bar, that's where I want to live.
From sushi train to... cheese train!
In the middle of the Pijp in Amsterdam, opposite the Marie Heinekenplein and on the corner where Taart van m’n Tante has been for 30 years, Kaasbar Amsterdam will soon open. And you might think, ‘huh, a cheese bar, what should I imagine?’ Think of a sushi train where you grab sushi from the conveyor belt, but then with cheese!
Dutch cheese
The owners Mark, Thierry, and Hademar are true cheese lovers. Mark and Thierry come from a cheese family and have chosen to serve only (twenty) Dutch cheeses. Delicious, because there are incredibly many beautiful cheeses from the Netherlands and they want you to taste them. The cheeses are sorted from mild to strong per group, and for an ultimate experience, you eat the cheeses from white flora to blue flora.
Exciting combinations
For each cheese, they have come up with a special combination that goes well with the flavor of the cheese. How about a sheep's cheese served with popcorn/caramel and an aged cumin with curry mayo and lime zest? And of course, you can also drink the perfect wine or even beer with every cheese!
Kaasbar Amsterdam will open in mid-February 2020. Jump on the cheese train and enjoy the ride!
