Check Kiki's home workspace

Is the kitchen table your home office domain or are you wedged between the wardrobe and the bed? Every week we look behind the front door to see what your home office looks like. This week we get to take a peek inside our own Kiki Düren.
Name: Kiki Düren (28)
Location: Utrecht. I am here taking a very hypocritical photo of my breakfast on the dining table, but I rarely work there. Now I must honestly say that I don't feel like a desk person. I much prefer typing from the couch, on a chair, even from bed. Or maybe I've convinced myself of that due to a lack of a decent workspace, that could be it too. To limit back pain, I often work in hotels. I check in at the DoubleTree by Hilton at least once a week to type some pieces. Nice to work in a hotel room and then order room service. Hi sushi lunch break, how u doin’?
Work: I am an online creator. Whether it's a column for Amayzine, a podcast on YouTube, or an Instagram campaign for a brand on @kikiduren. Actually, it always has to do with text and image.
Lunch: When I'm busy at home, I go all out and throw grilled vegetables in the oven for a salad with falafel. If I'm in a hurry, a peanut butter sandwich can suddenly be my sad lunch. Oh, but with an Indo twist, with cucumber and sambal.
Company: My cats Luna and Monza. The best we-keep-you-from-your-work-so-you-don't-get-anything-done attention deficit creatures.
Essential: Silence. Is that very boring? I absolutely cannot type with a TV on or chatting people around. Instrumental Hans Zimmer-like soundtrack music I find quite chill.
Tip I: If you want to reduce productivity by half: don't shower, I've just realized.
Tip II: Write down the three most important things you really want to finish that day in the morning.
Tip III: Do meetings while calling/walking during your break.
Annoying: Being sent upstairs because your partner has an important Zoom meeting. Ugh. But hey, I do that myself too so I don’t blame him.
Pros
+ Do meetings while calling/walking during your break.
+ Finally having the time to cook extensively in the evening and being home before dark.
+ Cuddling with cats.
Cons
– Getting overstimulated quickly is already tough, but can we also talk about being understimulated?
– Having to open the door in your extremely embarrassing leopard pajamas for the postman. Hesitating whether to go, doing it anyway, and then the package is FOR THE NEIGHBORS.
– Losing the work/life balance in your home.
