Check Merwin's home workspace

Is the kitchen table your home office domain or are you wedged between the wardrobe and the bed? Every week we look behind the front door to see what your home office looks like. This week we would like to join Merwin.
Name: Merwin Adamson (27)
Location: In the living room in Amsterdam, with a view of a window to occasionally gaze outside between tasks.
Work: Marketing-PR and co-founder of The Brand Pioneers
Lunch: On healthy days a decent sandwich with cucumber and cheese, but to treat myself occasionally: the delicious chicken-avocado sandwich from Locals, a nice lunch spot around the corner in the Pijp.
Company: After quite a few months of working from home, I can imagine that a pet is nice, but: shedding, walking, cleaning a litter box or fish tank. Luckily, I alternate home offices with my partner Anouk, so my bike ride through Vondelpark to her house still feels a bit like my normal start to the day at the office.
Essential: Nespresso pods. And at the moment also pepernoten.
Annoying: I send a lot of packages for my work, which is just a bit easier in an office with storage space than in my modest apartment. Sometimes I can't see my home office for the boxes, but the chaos keeps it fun.
Tip I: Make sure to have a morning routine where you get outside. Even if you just bike or walk around the neighborhood before opening that laptop.
Tip II: Make a to-do list with achievable goals and treat yourself to a coffee outside when half is done. It should remain fun.
Tip III: Make it cozy. I light my Muji scented candles in autumn weather and play relaxing music. It almost doesn't feel like work anymore.
Tip IV: See if you can have an old-fashioned phone call instead of a Zoom meeting. Then you don't have to stay behind your laptop and can stretch your legs in the meantime.
Plus
+ If it rains, not having to step into your Rains on the bike.
+ Time to do some DIY at home. I've never seen the Praxis from the inside so often.
+ You're always home when DHL comes or a potential technician.
Min
– Not being able to discuss WIDM with colleagues while making coffee.
– Sometimes working just a bit too long.
– Not being able to have lunch outside due to the current measures.
