Everything you want to know about Who is the Mole? 2021

Me, last night, 8:27 PM, heavily excited waiting for the show MolTalk on TV. With me? Over one million Dutch people. Not so strange when the participants of the 21st season of Who is the Mole? are announced. Then even millennials spontaneously find that TV again.
In case you missed it, let me catch you up. First up: the group.
Splinter Chabot, writer
Charlotte Nijs, political reporter, SBS6
Remco Veldhuis, part of the singing duo Veldhuis and Kemper
Renée Fokker, actress
Joshua Nolet, singer of the band Chef’Special
Marije Knevel, Ladies Night, Shownieuws
Erik de Zwart, radio DJ, television presenter
Roxanne ‘Rocky’ Hehakaija, former footballer
Florentijn Hofman, artist
Lakshmi, singer
The playing field this year? Czech Republic
The tasks are slightly different due to the corona measures: the local population is less involved. ‘But no concessions have been made in the games,’ says presenter Rik van de Westelaken.
Main suspect so far among mole fans? Charlotte Nijs
In the first poll among the mole fans in the program, Charlotte was pushed forward as the main suspect. She received no less than 23 percent of the votes. Joshua (12 percent) and Splinter (10 percent) are also considered highly suspicious, heavily based on nothing but hey, a mole fan has to start somewhere.
And, what did Rik say? ‘The mole has already revealed themselves?’
I’m sure there are now audio nerds completely stripping the sound fragment from the group announcement. Some viewers are already completely convinced that they heard Charlotte utter the holy I-am-the-Mole words. Hmm. The digging has at least begun.
When do we start?
January 2 it is. With a hangover behind the screen, with a leftover oliebol as an evening snack. Excited.
