Forget that weight from the past

From former model to nutrition consultant, Michelle den Hollander flew around the world from shoot to show, but also experienced the struggles of having the ‘right’ measurements. This brought her to where she is now, and on Amayzine she shares tips.

Most people who come to me often have a target weight in mind. Back to that certain weight they once had. But why would you? No really, why do you want to achieve that specific weight?

Have you ever thought about that? Is it really about those numbers on the scale or is it actually about something else? And that's why I like to ask you the question: WHY? Whether it's a certain weight you want to reach or another goal in mind, it's always good to ask yourself why that is your aim.

Because I did modeling for a long time, my goal was also always to have a certain weight and a certain size. For a long time, I struggled to let go of that one number on the scale. Only later did I see what I really find important. For me, it's about feeling good in my skin, having enough energy, and feeling fit. Why? Because that’s when I feel the best, feel like I can take on any challenge, and feel confident. To get a better picture of your goal, it's important to know why you want to change. That's why it's good to go through the questions below before you start working on your goal.

1. Why do you want to change? Then ask yourself the question again: why?
2. What is your goal? And is it achievable and realistic?
3. What are the biggest pitfalls in your average lifestyle from the past year?
4. What solutions are there to eliminate your biggest pitfalls?
5. What agreements do you make with yourself based on the above?

Do you have your goal clearly in mind and are you ready to tackle this goal: go for it! And if you need a little help with that, let me know, then we can look at a step-by-step plan together.
