Must visit: Dinant in Belgium

When visiting our southern neighbors, you quickly choose Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent or Brussels, but there is more beauty. Take a trip to Dinant, this city is located on the Meuse in the Ardennes and is at least as good-looking as Bruges.
Dinant is firmly rooted in history, as it has a favorable location on the Meuse river, which makes the trade route between Cologne and Paris possible. From the citadel, 100 meters above the city, you immediately understand why. By the way, Dinant is not only famous for its strategic location, but it is also the city of Leffe beer and the birthplace of Monsieur Adolphe Sax who, indeed, is responsible for inventing the saxophone.
Coffee with a Dinant cookie, overlooking the Meuse while enjoying a Leffe and of course climbing the citadel (or taking the cable car up, which I also consider acceptable), in Dinant you experience the old-fashioned cozy Belgium. Here, no hipster spots on every street corner, but mainly many cozy accommodations with a nice walk in the Ardennes around the corner.
