Moet bezoeken: Muscat in Oman

oman hotspots

In March, I often try to get on a plane to a random warm (and preferably hot) destination. Where at the end of a day you step out of the shower feeling rosy, can tan your legs, and can spin with satisfaction on terraces. And this time I am going to Oman to be a bit more geographically precise. You should know that Oman has been on my wish list for a while, especially when my travel companions in Malta kept saying how beautiful, how special, how amazing, and how incredible it is.

I dove into the Oman archives to see where I really, really, really need to be, and it turned out to be: Muscat. With its Grand Mosque, the souq of Mutrah, a boulevard to stroll along with at the end the climb to Al Mirani Fort and its super-luxury hotels. But you also shouldn't miss eating at Kargeen, a visit to the Royal Opera House, just like taking the time to observe the locals who come out together just after sunset. Only 34 more nights to sleep, but I am already admiring Muscat…
