Most read: What do we actually know about Alexia?

Because you probably haven't been able to read everything due to quarantine, lockdowns, and press conferences: this is one of our top scorers of the year. Grab the wine, truffle cheese, and your blanket, and enjoy reading back. Or cookies and chocolate, that’s fine too, of course.

In the past, King's Day was only about what Máxima was wearing, but with three daughters, that's no longer the case. However, this time we took another look at Alexia, because what a sight she was. In a crisp white shirt and high-heeled Zara shoes, she celebrated her father's birthday.

This year, #King's Day is celebrated at home. Also by the King and his family. Shortly after 10:00 AM, the King will deliver a short message via, among others, NPO1 and then also via Koningsdagthuis.nl and the social media channels of the Royal House.⠀ ⠀ Prior to that, the Wilhelmus will be sung and played along with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra throughout the Netherlands. The Royal Family will participate in various online activities throughout the day. At 4:00 PM, the day will be concluded with the National Toast. #king'sdayathome⠀ ⠀ Follow today the #King's Day at home of the Royal Family via the social media channels of the Royal House and Koningsdagthuis.nl.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #royalfamily #home #king #queen #princesses #kingwillemalexander #queenmaxima #princessamalia #princessalexia #princessariane #paleishuistenbosch #kingsday #royalfamily #oranjethuis #denhaag @koningsdagthuis ?RVD

During her father's speech, she knew exactly how to strike the right poses, but also in the conversation she had with her mother Máxima and YouTuber Enzo Knol, we got to see more of the princess. Her answer gave us a bit of an idea of what the Oranges are like as a family.

This is not the first time this year that Princess Alexia stands out, as during the annual photo moment in Lech, we saw (and heard) just a bit more than intended. While Alexia smoothly heads towards the ski lift and wants to wave at the press circus, she loses her ski pole. What follows is a very human ‘damn, damn’. Which made us chuckle a bit.

But what do we actually know about Her Royal Highness Princess Alexia of the Netherlands?

Alexia (who indeed owes her name to her father) is currently 14 years old, soon to be 15 in June, by the way. Like her sister Amalia and sister Ariane, she attends the Christian Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague. The princess seems to have a good set of vocal cords, as she reportedly sings quite well and can also play the guitar. Royal reporter Marc van der Linden even says that there was once talk of her participating in The Voice Kids. I would have liked that. Furthermore, the princess is often found on the hockey field during her free hours.

Alexia clearly has just as much love for fashion as Máxima, as she briefly had an Instagram account where she shared her outfits. Until the royal house fans recognized her by her looks and the account is therefore already a bit of history. But she regularly dives into Max's closet, where she found a blouse by Valentino for a photoshoot. That shows taste. By the way, not the first time, as Alexia reused Máxima's denim jacket in Groningen for King's Day.

Our eastern neighbors are actually head over heels for Princess Alexia, calling her the next royal superstar. It has everything to do with her poses and lovely camera presence. And we actually understand that. Máxima once mentioned during a public crying fit of Alexia in Lech that this is what she does: ‘When she laughs, she does it loudly, and when she cries, she does it loudly.’
