Ooh: there is also a Flemish version of The Bachelorette
Errrbody is looking for love. Not just Gaby, man. Everyone. And how ideal can you test which type of person suits you as a single when there are 18 willing bachelors fighting for you? That's what I mean. After Temptation, there seems to be a new American show that we can all chat about quite a bit: The Bachelorette.
At the Flemish channel VIER, they are not crazy either. The love format scores well, and so VIER will bring its own version of The Bachelorette to the screen in 2021. In it, a group of men will compete for the love of 35-year-old Elke Clijsters. Elke who? Elke Clijsters is a former tennis player, mother of two, and totally ready for a new love in her life.
‘I am really looking forward to this love adventure because ‘The Bachelorette’ is going to be one big adventure,’ says Elke. ‘With my heart wide open. An exciting search for myself, for the men, and – fingers crossed – for the man of my dreams. What kind of person am I looking for? A sincere man with a lot of humor, and someone who is not afraid of this experience.’
My first impression of this Limburg beauty? Looks like a relaxed, down to earth kinda girl. Also quite enlightening. And you know what they say about the Flemish version of De Mol, right? Elke, we’re going to keep an eye on you, girl. Curious to see what kind of men will line up.
