Send help: how much wine do you buy for a dinner party?

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the food lovers of online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat and what to cook. This time our chefs serve you: how much wine do you need?
It always remains difficult: you host a dinner and you need to buy wine. You finally figured out which wine you want to serve, but now the quantity. Too little wine is an all-time nightmare. We looked it up for you.
To determine how many bottles of wine you need, you first have to calculate how many glasses are in a bottle. It may sound silly, but for large groups, it's much easier to count in glasses than in bottles. There should actually be about five glasses in a bottle. But hey, it's a party. The glasses will definitely be fuller than they should be. Four glasses per bottle it is.
Does that friend love wine a lot or a whole lot?
Now you need to think about how many glasses of wine each guest will drink in an evening. It would be a bit exaggerated if you knew that off the top of your head for everyone, but in the chart below, you can see how many glasses someone approximately drinks. You just have to estimate how much your guests love wine. Now just calculate: number of guests × expected glasses per guest ÷ four = the number of bottles of wine you need. Cheers!
