Sleep a night in your own city

may with suitsuit suitcase

Yes, you think: I have been sleeping all year in my own city. In your own house, in your own bed. But I mean in a hotel. In the category support your locals: don't make travel movements, but do create a nice outing for yourself. So book a night in a hotel.

I don't know about you, but I was really in need of a night with my loved one. My kids are struggling with daylight saving time, so I've been waking up at half past five all week, and for a year now, I've been the one everyone relies on. Not that it's a problem, it's wonderful to do, but just a night one-on-one, I would have given a lot for that.

My parents can't babysit because of corona, but our nanny is the only one who comes to our house. She is part of the household and stayed overnight. I believe that didn't go completely smoothly. I have a special girl as you might know, and she is quite attached to me. She hopped from her sister's bed to Stella's, but all in all, everyone was okay olé olé and I had a solid night. Although I did wake up a few times with a hint of worry, but still. Being able to finish a sentence together, at five in the bath with a glass of wine on the edge while chatting with my love. Oh, how much I needed that. And the hotel was happy because they had a bit of revenue.

So: do you live near Amsterdam and also need a legitimate outing? Do this. We don't have much more. I slept at The Dylan, one of the most beautiful hotels in Amsterdam. If it's good enough for George Clooney... But another love, the Pulitzer, has very nice, affordable offers. Every room there is different, and they have Santal 33 from Le Labo in the bathroom. By the way, at The Dylan, Haely, oh, I could just purr, it makes me so happy.

I'm turning over one more time, dear friends. And soon the mask on and dutifully order breakfast. Love and a wonderful weekend, May.
