That documentary by Boef is watched an insane amount of times

Well. Launch a documentary during the corona period about one of the most controversial rappers in the country and you can bet that we will watch it en masse. On May 8, the docuseries ‘Gewoon Boef’ was released online and within 24 hours it became the most streamed Videoland documentary ever. And I must say: actually, apart from his music, I didn't know much about Boef. Yes, okay, his image could use a polish after the ‘kech-incident’, that he is together with wifey Selma and earns a shitload of money, but privately? Turns out I don't know about Sofiane Boussaadia. This man has been through some shit. Wow. I didn't see that coming. Tuberculosis at four. A dad in prison. A mom addicted to heroin – the worst drug that exists. Adoptive parents who then split up, juvenile detention; it's drama upon drama. How such a damaged child manages to work his way to the top as a self-made man despite the misery: it intrigues me. And honestly: that documentary could have been a bit more extensive than just three episodes, but hey, you can binge it away like that. I say: go for it.
