Amayzine

The dream of May that came true Part II

Launch of Cleo & Bast at the Amstel Hotel

“Isn't it a bit strange to ask for champagne glasses already?” My Amayzine- (and Favor Flav-) friends are having coffee in the royal suite of the Amstel Hotel where I can dance for 24 hours (the room is 150 m2 so that works), but hey, there is a book that needs to be baptized and is longing for champagne. Much more than for coffee, although that is also divine here.

I just waved goodbye to Jetteke van Lexmond who had a coffee on my firstborn. Jetteke, Lieke, and I have a nice tradition when it comes to cheering each other on in our new adventures. Unfortunately, Lieke had night recordings and a very busy schedule, but Jetteke gladly took over and meanwhile told me about their Moon Calendar which is now available at Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow's platform. How cool is that.

Dear Lucy Woesthoff unfortunately had to cancel because from Wednesday we were of course advised not to leave and visit the big cities, unless there is a matter of dire necessity. And however important this day is for me, corona is more important than anything. So today a lovely little bag will be delivered to Lucy with a book, macarons, and oh, a small bottle of Moët for the festive touch.

And so we are back to champagne and the story is complete. Because of course, the staff at the Amstel Hotel were not surprised by those champagne glasses at 11:15 AM. The Rolling Stones have slept in that room, so they are used to a bit.

Happy and satisfied and with a little pain in my heart (because we would have liked to stay here for another day) we walked out of the suite. Thank you Amstel, thank you Cleo & Bast, you were amazing.

And if you feel like mentally traveling to a five-star hotel in Paris this weekend, you can go to Cleo & Bast here.
