The first message from Carolien

After five lovely weeks of cocooning, I felt it was time to pick up the pen (or rather, laptop) for my favorite website in the Netherlands. And in those five weeks, a lot has happened: we suddenly became a family of four, Otis is suddenly a big brother, and all the delightful baby antics that I had completely forgotten about (sleepless nights, explosive diapers, sour milk shoulders) are back. But before these scenes, there was a beautiful birth, about which I had already written a little piece. The recovery in the days after was definitely a lot nicer than after my emergency cesarean with Otis, but underneath everything felt quite sore and painful. When I called Layla Cremer weeks before the birth about ‘fourth trimester’ treatments, I couldn't really imagine it. But once I was lying in my maternity bed, I couldn't wait to call her. After five days, she was at our doorstep and transformed our bedroom into a Thai spa. And then it was set up: the Yoni Steam. I couldn't even think about having someone near my yoni after that whole birth, but that's the beauty of the treatment: you sit on a chair with a hole in the middle and the herbal steam bath does the rest. The treatment is completely pain-free and after twenty minutes, I immediately felt relief and a less pulling sensation. After that, I received a lovely postpartum massage with herbal stamps that promote your recovery, and we finished with a belly binding that helps everything get back in place a bit faster. I did the Yoni Steam every day for the next four days for twenty minutes, and I am sure this greatly accelerated my yoni recovery (after this, I will never talk about my yoni again, promise). I truly believe that every new mother should receive this treatment! In Asia, these treatments have been given to every new mother for a long time, so what are we waiting for?
