These are the perfumes that Máxima wears

If it's good enough for our queen, then it's certainly good enough for us and we want to know quickly what she wears. Our big sister Franska.co.uk went on a quest and uncovered her majesty's favorites among the perfumes.
Thirty years ago, the sultan of Oman wanted to create a fragrance using only ingredients from Oman. This fragrance remains special after all these years.
Imagine you have all the money in the world and you dream of creating your own perfume. What do you do? The sultan of Oman asked the most famous perfumer from Paris, Guy Robert, in 1983 to create a unique perfume using only ingredients from his own country, so that every time you smell the perfume, you think of the nights in Oman. A bit like the fairy tales from the 1001 nights, so to speak. Thus it happened, it became a very special perfume in a very special bottle made of 24-carat gold. This exclusive perfume was given by the sultan as a gift to friendly queens and princesses who were visiting his country. So Princess Beatrix undoubtedly received such a beautiful golden bottle with this special perfume during her time as queen. Queen Máxima received such a bottle either from her mother-in-law or from the sultan himself. Coincidentally, in 2012, the editor-in-chief of the magazine Vorsten followed Queen Máxima during a work visit, and she asked the queen which perfume she used because there was always a wonderful and special scent surrounding the queen.
The fragrance is called Amouage and is now available worldwide, in a ‘cheaper’ bottle. The original bottle is no longer made, making it even more exclusive and easily fetching 25,000 euros at auctions.
The perfume still costs nearly three hundred euros and is now made with ingredients from all over the world. The scent is nearly the same, so if you're near a perfumery, try the scent on your arm and judge for yourself.
