Tip tip tip: About Water on Netflix

Yeah, let those series be left to our southern neighbors. Because they can handle it. We can always understand it a little less, but hey, that's what subtitles are for. And Netflix has put a new Belgian addition online: Over Water. Only season 1 is available now, but that second season is coming soon. Very soon actually, it will be online on July 3rd. Hatsikideee.

Over Water is about former TV star John Beckers, who is not doing so well. Besides being a former star, he is also a former alcoholic: he has now kicked the habit and wants to make a fresh start. But that is not so easy. He starts working at his father-in-law's harbor company.

Actually, everything goes completely wrong from the moment he starts working there. I won't spoil too much because then there will be little tension left, but expect police interrogations, corpses, extortions, secret apartments, drug smuggling... Besides drama, Over Water is also a really thrilling series. A bit of a Penoza vibe. Personally, I really like that.

Does this series sound familiar to you? That might be right, it was already seen in Belgium at the end of 2018. And then Netflix decided to pick it up (thank you for that). That second season has already been on TV, so maybe that third season will be a collaboration...? That would be great. I miss Penoza-like antics.
