It has always been a dream of mine to create my own perfume. A unique specimen that fits all my moods. Sounds ideal, right? But is this actually possible? Every day I actually need a different scent. The weather and the time also play a big role in that. Sunny day? Fresh perfume. Night out? Then I prefer something heavier, almost masculine even. Well, I’ve found out that I’m not the only one with these wishes. So thought the French perfume house N.C.P olfactives as well. They throw the traditional wearing of one perfume out the window and go for layers. What they have done is ‘very simple’, according to N.C.P. They have developed a collection in which each bottle contains only a few ingredients. So you buy a bottle with those few notes that you like so much and you can add another bottle to it. This way you can mix and blend everything to create your own scent that fits your mood. So simple, but so nice. Today I’m going for the combination of Jasmine & Sandalwood with Amber & Gaiac Wood.
