What is microdosing and do we want to try it?

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the food lovers of online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat and what to cook. This time our chefs serve you: microdosing.
Let me start by saying that I am really absolutely no hero when it comes to drugs. Everyone should know that for themselves, but I am too much of a control freak for it. And wanting to have control over everything is not so good for your stress levels, or it makes it harder for you to relax when you are free. But now there is a new kid in town: iMicrodose from Red Light Truffles.
And yes, the name says it all a bit: they are indeed magic truffles. You might think when hearing about Red Light Truffles that it is mainly about the space and for recreational use, but that is not the case.
So what is it really?
The active ingredient in the magic truffles is psilocybin, which has a hallucinogenic effect when used in large quantities. But the idea is to microdose it. A small side note is that the medical use of microdoses has (not) yet been scientifically proven, but it is increasingly being used for these purposes.
It can help with depression, stress, panic attacks, and PMS. People with ADHD/ADD also use it to improve their concentration and it can help with burnout.
Todd Shapiro at the helm of Red Light Truffles
The company Red Light Truffles was founded by Canadian Todd Shapiro, who himself struggled with stress and anxiety attacks. By microdosing, this has decreased significantly and he claims to have gained a ‘clear mind’. I often have trouble really relaxing, so I am absolutely open to such natural, edible solutions.
Because yes, you eat this. The magic truffles are sold in their natural, raw, and unprocessed form and must be kept cool before use. Todd Shapiro takes it just as pure (and honestly finds the taste quite nice), but the nice thing is that the leaflet is full of how to use it. Official medical claims are not allowed, although they are working on obtaining an EU-GMP certificate so that this can change.
Recommendation?
If you recognize yourself a bit in the story and also suffer from stress, PMS, or for example a short attention span, microdosing might be something for you. iMicrodose from Red Light Holland is available here.
