Why a girls' day is necessary

She texts me: ‘Almost tomorrow’. I reply with: ‘Almost us’. By the time you read this, we are on the Thalys. Or we are wandering through Antwerp. Either way, it's a side-by-side situation. We've been doing this for years. One day us, one day me. And that's just an excellent idea.

1. Talking until the last detail

When we have a shopping day to a slightly further location, by the time we return, we are completely updated. Work, love, family, friends, lost friends. We call it catching up until the last detail.

2. Experiencing adventures

If you see each other occasionally during a dinner, it's of course very nice, but meeting each other on the Thalys at Schiphol and heading to Paris or Antwerp guarantees a new adventure and new stories.

3. Shopping

In moderation and with love. And then later every time you wear that purchased item, think back to that lovely day together.

4. Lunching

In a new place with different people around you and with a bit of luck, you talk about your friendship and why it is so special to you.

5. Exchanging ideas

From books to Netflix series and everything in between, we discuss it and so I think for another year about everything she has given me.

I am so looking forward to it and will tell you what memories we have stacked.
