Why I am already looking forward to Drag Race Holland

Drag Race Holland

Even if you wanted to, you can't get around it. The hysterical TV hit RuPaul's Drag Race is getting a Dutch version and with just two days to go on the clock, I'm really starting to look forward to it. Here’s why.

Think: a little bit of drama, mama
The ongoing struggle among the Queens to grab the shine. Dramas behind the scenes. False humor. Catfights. I know you love it, so don't pretend that's not the case.

Secretly, I'm also a bit curious about ‘the craft’
Because that's what we can call it, right? The art of drag, transforming yourself into someone of the opposite gender in just a few hours? And the effort that such a transformation takes? The eyelashes, the wigs, the corsets, sequin dresses, and other extravaganza. Not to mention the life stories that come with it.

Hello: Fred van Leer presents it
Need to say more? Everything Fred does touches me (also check out his own docu https://amayzine.com/nl/2020/waarom-je-de-docu-van-fred-van-leer-wilt-zien/ by the way) and in the meantime, he himself is not averse to a little transformation.

Fred is accompanied by a whole bunch of jury members
Nikkie Plessen, Roxeanne Hazes, Claes Iversen, Sanne Wallis de Vries, and Rick Paul van Mulligen are the regular jury members who judge the Queens on their looks. Then there are also guest jury members like Loiza Lamers, Ruth Jacott, NikkieTutorials, Ryanne van Dorst, Amber Vineyard, Edsilia Rombley, and Carlo Boszhard. This can only be a party, right?

Oh. My. Drag. And I haven't even introduced you to the Queens of the season yet... Bring on all those alter egos!

Well guys, you understand: I'm ready for it. Starting September 18 on Videoland.
