7 clear signs that indicate you should quit your job

You don't feel 100 percent comfortable in your skin, but you also have no idea why. You just don't know everything in your life right now. Pfff. Sigh. Complain.

More often than you might realize, your mood has everything to do with your job. After all, you are busy with it every day. Isn't it time for a fresh start somewhere else? Isn't it time to do something you've always dreamed of? Sometimes being afraid to leave is all that holds you back from having a better life, and a little courage and guts is all you need. But how do you know for sure that this is the moment you want to switch jobs? These 7 clear signals say enough.

1. You are tired
Now everyone is always tired nowadays and always complaining that they are tired, but still. If you just get little energy from a new workday and dread Sunday evenings, you really need to ask yourself if this is still worth it. Of course: you need a salary. But you can earn that somewhere else, right?

2. You are grumpy, angry, not fun
You are not exactly pleasant in the workplace towards other colleagues, because you just don't care anymore. In your mind, you are already halfway gone. You are not cheerful at home either, because you are not happy with your daily activities.

3. You rush through your work
Just because you no longer feel like it, you don't double-check everything. You rush through your work, you want to finish it quickly so you can lie on the couch or have coffee with a friend.

4. You take all your days off
You have so little motivation to get to work that you prefer to take time off. And you are already looking forward to the weekend. On Monday morning.

5. You are less productive and less creative
You no longer come up with good new ideas quickly: your mind is just a bit stagnant in terms of career. You are just not that involved anymore and you actually couldn't care less what happens in that whole company.

6. You skip work
During work-from-home hours, just enjoy getting your nails done: you couldn't care less, because you actually want to leave here anyway. So what are they going to say about it?

7. You are bored
Honestly? A new job can give you new energy. You are just bored with where you are. You feel lethargic and sluggish and you actually want nothing. It's not strange that most people look for a new challenge every four to six years. Then the game is played, you know all the ins and outs. Is it time for change.

Do you recognize yourself in this? Then make an appointment: start looking. Go search for something new. Maybe not by quitting in a rush, but take a good look around at job vacancies. Have coffees with people in the industry that seems interesting to you. Talk to friends about what you really enjoy doing. And remember our wise lesson: if you are in a work slump, it can only get better if you change something. Just dare to take that step: you almost never regret it.
