Celebrities who were fired on the spot from a movie or series

The day you were fired is one that you will probably never forget and also one that you would rather forget. In most cases, there isn't a story behind it that you are really proud of. Too often overslept, too often showing up with a hangover, arguments with your manager or boss... Or sometimes you are just completely unsuitable for your job. I was once hired for (what I thought) a financial administrative position, but it quickly became clear (on day number one) that I was the entire financial department. It's quite nice to say at 21 that you run a whole department, but at the same time, I had never opened an accounting program and managed to suppress about eight panic attacks that first day. You understand: right at six o'clock the day was over, and I took the honor upon myself and quit. Otherwise, there was a 100 percent chance that I would be fired after a week. Immediately. And yes, it just shows again that Hollywood stars are just like us: they too can be fired on the spot.
1. Megan Fox in Transformers: Dark of the Moon (was replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley)
Megan had a ~small~ incident with director Michael Bay. What exactly happened will always remain a mystery, because we weren't there, but according to the rumors, it went like this: he thought she needed to gain weight for the role, she called him Hitler and ‘the most horrible person to work with’ and then it was goodbye, Megan.
2. Anne Hathaway in Knocked Up (replaced by Katherine Heigl)
Everything was completely ready to go, filming was about to start, and then Anne found out that there was a scene in the movie where she had to give birth. No idea how she had missed that before, but well: this was a no go for her and she discussed it with the director, who was unyielding. Either that birthing scene or you're out. Well, that last one was the case.
3. Ryan Gosling in The Lovely Bones (replaced by Mark Wahlberg)
He wasn't completely fired either, more ‘left in good consultation’, but not entirely in good harmony. The director, Peter Jackson, was not really pleased with Ryan's creative ideas. Ryan, in turn, felt that his character would come out much better if he could go his own way. That didn't click at all and it was exit Ryan Gosling.
4. Kevin Spacey in All the Money in the World (replaced by Christopher Plummer)
This is a special case, because Kevin Spacey was fired only after the film was completely finished. The reason is probably not lost on you: he made the news due to sexual harassment. That's generally not the best publicity you can have for your film, so they decided to reshoot all his scenes, but then with Christopher Plummer.
5. Walt Disney
Hilarious: Walt Disney was fired from a local newspaper in Missouri because he ‘wasn't creative enough.’ Yes, the man behind Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, hello — it's Mr. DISNEY — wasn't creative enough. Well... I think they've come to regret that.
6. Christian Bale in American Psycho (was replaced by Leonardo DiCaprio... And then rehired)
When the film went into production in 2000, Christian Bale was not yet known in Hollywood. The studio preferred a bigger name, so when Leo showed interest, Christian Bale was unceremoniously thrown out. Unfortunately, Leo's fans threw a wrench in the works (you have to rely on your fans), because this psycho killer would be his first role after Titanic and they didn't like that. From romantic Jack to bloody, axe-murdering Patrick Bateman.
7. Armie Hammer in everything (among others replaced by Josh Duhamel)
Say goodbye to your career. After several women came forward with stories about this actor (there is currently also a police investigation into him for rape), he was dropped from all projects associated with his name. Shotgun Wedding, with J.Lo, in which he is replaced by Josh Duhamel, and a prequel to The Godfather, for example.
8. Charlie Sheen in Two And A Half Men
Even though the show revolved entirely around him — enough is enough, thought the studio. He was fired immediately because he repeatedly refused to go to rehab and seek help for his drug problems. The studio fired him by writing a letter of no less than eleven pages, in which they described him as someone suffering from a disease and being very self-destructive.
9. Taylor Momsen in Gossip Girl
Little J may have been a sweet girl in the first season, but rumors quickly circulated that she was a completely unmanageable brat in real life. By the time of season four, she hardly showed up, and when she was there, she wasn't very ‘level-headed’, according to the studio. She was quite unpredictable and therefore she was fired from the show.
