This Swedish cinnamon roll can make my whole day. I work through about two of them a week, so you could say I have a slight addiction. Just how beautiful they look: it's a true treat. I have crowned myself a real connoisseur and that's why I'm sharing the six best spots for cinnamon buns in Amsterdam below. Enjoy!

1. Arket
This one remains my favorite. Despite the fact that this is not a very cozy little bakery – but just the café of a retail chain – I find this one the tastiest. It is not too sweet, crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Perfection, if I may say so myself.

2. Selma’s Bakery
The tastiest cinnamon buns in Amsterdam-West can be found at Selma’s Bakery. If you're here, I recommend trying the cardamom and apple buns as well. All equally delicious.

3. Le Vain et le Vin
This beautiful French place is incredibly atmospheric. Besides fresh sourdough bread and fantastic natural wines, they also have delicious cinnamon buns here. What more could a person want? Absolutely worth stopping by during your weekend.

4. Bakkerij Wolf
If you're walking through the Negen Straatjes, you should take some time for Bakkerij Wolf. This bakery is located (surprise surprise) on Wolvenstraat. It's a nice spot to sit, so I would definitely enjoy your cinnamon bun plus coffee inside.

5. Scandinavian Embassy
This is where my addiction started. I tasted my very first cinnamon bun here. What an experience that was. There is literally always a line out the door, but it's more than worth it. The filter coffee with a cinnamon bun is a golden combination. For those who are not a fan of that: they also just have cappuccino.

6. Public Space
Hidden behind the A’DAM Tower in Amsterdam-Noord is Public Space. It's a beautiful workspace where you can comfortably spend the whole day with your laptop. Besides the beautiful decor and the peace you can find here, the cinnamon buns are of course a crucial reason to come here. The best reward after hours of toil.
