One of the most beloved snacks in our country on a pizza: sounds crazy but the combo is now really a reality. Supermarket Lidl had already come up with this crazy cross-over earlier. which surprisingly tasted better than you might think.. Now Domino's is launching the pizza topped with slices of frikandel, also known as: the Frikan'Dutchman.
Best of both worlds
Eke Bosman, better known as Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, who had his first frikandel as a baby and is the connoisseur of snacks. Every week he shares his best and worst snack reviews on FavorFlav where pleasure and pure misery regularly alternate. Snackspert made a call on social media a few weeks ago to Domino's asking if they would make a pizza with frikandel special. Together with his thousands of followers, he succeeded: Domino's responded. And so the pizza with create best of both worlds. is a fact.
Fired up
The Frikan'Dutchman pizza consists of fresh dough topped with tomato sauce, Domino's signature spice mix, mozzarella, pieces of frikandel, onions, and of course curry sauce and mayonnaise. Together with the colleagues from Domino's Pizza Hilversum, Eke made the very first Frikan'Dutchman in the Netherlands yesterday. ‘The bar for this pizza was set extremely high with all the expectations I had, but the result is top-notch. It took me a while to master making pizzas completely, but that also gave me enough opportunity to taste well,’ says an extremely enthusiastic Snackspert.
The frikandel special pizza is now temporarily available at 325 Domino's locations across the country for just under six euros. For now, the pizza will remain on the menu for a while, so you have plenty of time to try this hit.
